Blueprint Skateboards was founded as first British skateboard company of Faze 7 distribution in 1995. Faze 7 Distribution had been distributing USA quality skateboard brands in the U.K since 1985 including H Street, Blind, World Industries, Plan B and many other top USA skateboard companies. In 1995 Joe Burlo, CEO of Faze 7 felt that skateboarding was seeing a downturn in the U.K. and decided to set up a British skateboard company to help arrest the decline in British skating. This was not only to give British skaters an identity of their own but so skateboarding could flourish in the UK and safeguard it's future. The idea of Blueprint, says Blueprint Team Manager and pro Paul Shier, was to give British skaters a chance at sponsorship without having to travel to the U.S. to get it. Blueprint Skateboards is a company, sponsoring UK skaters such as Danny Brady, Neil Smith, Chewy Cannon, Vaughn Baker, Nick Jensen and Mark Baines among others.
