GIRL SKATEBOARD CO

Rick Howard and Mike Carroll were riding for Plan B and left over a wheel invoicing dispute to start their own company. They felt that they could make a better contribution to skateboarding by running their own company rather than riding for someone else's. Megan Baltimore worked in administration for World Industries at the time and left with them. Sean Sheffey, Jovante Turner, Tim Gavin, Rudy Johnson, Eric Koston, Guy Mariano all left their sponsors to make up the original Girl Skateboards team. When pros approached Girl Skateboards but the Girl team was too large to take on more riders they started with another company - Chocolate as a sister company to Girl.
